The Venice Area Orchid Society meets on the first Wednesday of each month.
Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. at the:
Venice Community Center
326 South Nokomis Avenue
Venice, Florida
Meeting format usually includes:
- a brief business meeting
- a presentation by an authority
- refreshments
- presentation of the growers
- table—plants brought in by members for appreciation.
- a one dollar orchid raffle (often including a dozen or more plants and an equal number of happy winners).
Growers Meetings are informal question and answer sessions focusing on the questions of beginning orchid growers. They are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m at the Venice Community Center. Guests are always welcome.
